A listing helps a buyer decide whether the product matches what they need. Clear information cannot prevent every return, but avoidable gaps and contradictions can make that decision harder.
Images and text tell different stories
Check that the title, images, colour, material, pattern, pack quantity and included items describe the same product. A strong photograph cannot correct a conflicting attribute, and accurate text cannot rescue an image that hides important details.
Size information is vague
Use the measurements and size options required for the category. Avoid copying a size description from another product unless it is genuinely identical. Where fit can vary, make the relevant measurement information easy to find.
The listing omits limitations
- Show what is and is not included in the pack.
- Describe material and care information accurately.
- Avoid implying accessories are included when they are only styling props.
- Use product-specific attributes instead of broad claims.
- Review spelling and units, especially measurements and quantities.
Reused information is not reviewed
Templates save time only when every reused field is checked for the current product. EcomRankUp listing profiles can prepare supported fields, but the seller remains responsible for reviewing the result, adding photos and making the final publication action.
A final listing check
- Compare the title and attributes with the physical product.
- Check the main image and supporting views.
- Verify colour, size, material, pattern and quantity.
- Remove unsupported claims and irrelevant keywords.
- Preview the listing as a buyer would see it before submitting.
Use return reasons as a prompt for investigation, not automatic proof that a listing caused the return. Product quality, fulfilment, expectations and other factors may also matter.
